About Pregnancy
Pregnancy is the best gift for a woman. When you got impregnated, whether you are married or not, you should be thankful that you are given a chance to give birth to a human being. There are women who get sad knowing that they are pregnant probably because they do not have spouses to share the responsibility with. But the truth is that you need to be tough enough for your kid.
Here are some tips that you need to consider during pregnancy:
The total period of pregnancy is nine months or at least 37 weeks. The maximum number of weeks required for a pregnancy is 40 weeks, but if you have already reached 37 weeks, you are already fit for delivery. There are also three trimesters for a complete monitoring of your pregnancy. To further understand the duration, you better take a look at this:
- The first trimester is covering the first week until the end of the 12th week.
- The second trimester, on the other hand, is from the 3rd week until the end of the 26th week.
- The third and last week ranges from the 27th week until the end. The end of one’s pregnancy is from the 37th week until the 40th. Once you have reached the 40th, you should be able to give birth already. You are already overdue once you have reached 41st week.
What are the changes a woman experiences from period to period?
Let us start with the first trimester. Since it covers week 1 to week 12, you may experience the following signs:
- You may experience vomiting – A woman that is pregnant may experience the feeling that you are in need of vomit. That may be triggered by a change in your sense of taste. The usual delicious food that seems to be your favorite may be changed at an instant.
- You may experience drowsiness – This usually happens simultaneously with the vomiting thing. The changes in your hormones are possibly the reason why you get drowsy during the first trimester.
In the second trimester, you may experience the following:
- Craving for something sweet, salty, and even the strangest taste that you would find. They say if you crave sweets, then you will be having a baby girl. On the other hand, if you are craving for salty food, it means you are going to have a baby boy.
- You will spend all time sleeping. You are sleep deprived; that is why you are always eager to sleep even during the daytime. But you need to avoid doing that because it may lead to hypertension if you continue sleeping all the time of the day.
Lastly, during the third trimester, you are nearing delivery. That is why you experience the following:
- Sleepiness is still an issue here. You always feel sleepy because, as mentioned a while ago, you are sleep deprived. Usually, a woman that is pregnant is up during nighttime and sleeps during the daytime.
- Irritability. It is because you are already big in size, you cannot move, and you cannot do the usual things that you do.
